2088 Brings New Appointments

League Office Grows By Two, SWA Appoints New Director & Three New Members
By "Associated Press"

Playoffs 2087 (Philadelphia) - USA Football League Founder/Commissioner Andrew Lewis held an impromptu press conference late last night while leaving his bi-annual C.R.A.P. Charity Banquet (Commissioners Raising Awareness Practically). Lewis announced two Commissioner appointments, naming Todd Ricotta to the newly created FBPRO Strategic Director post and Steve Harrison to the GM Assimilation Director position.

Harrison and Ricotta both served on the SWA board and their Commissioner appointments require that they step down from the SWA (Harrison served as SWA Director). Lewis announced that Mark Ricotta has been promoted to SWA Director and that Tampa Bay GM Lee Remley, Cincinnati GM James Barr, and Pittsburgh GM Jay Petty have all been appointed to serve in the SWA.

The SWA is now a seven member body (have been six members since their inception in 2008). Lewis has increased the membership by one to lower the chances of there being a tie in the ballot results.

League officials then handed out a list of the Job Descriptions along with bios of the new appointees:

====================

Todd Ricotta has been in the USAFL for nearly 100 seasons and throughout those years has faithfully served as an FBPRO Consultant to the Commissioner's office. His USAFL Schemes product has recieved world-wide acclaim in the football sim community. Ricotta is known throughout the FBPRO community as one of the game's most knowledgeable experts.

Steve Harrison joined the USAFL a couple years after they began the modern era back in 2001. He had already established himself as a great competitor in the online FBPRO community. Since arriving in the USAFL, he's won three Sundby Cups and six AFC titles. Harrison distinguished himself in the SWA, serving 17 seasons as their Director. His Commissioner duties will be focused on managing incoming AGMs, handling all 'join requests', and serve as the league's 'point person' to all visitors.

Mark Ricotta has made an eternal impact on the USAFL with his creation of the Bills' 2063-2075 dynasty, winning 9 Sundby Cups during that 13 season stretch. His stronghold over the AFC was felt for even more seasons. Yet through all of that, he's remained one of the league's most humble General Managers. He strives to assist other GMs in learning the strategies of the game.

Lee Remley and James Barr have both only been in the league for a few seasons, but they've both grasped the concept very quickly. The veterans of the league have been very encouraged with their franchises and look forward to their success in the very near future.

Jay Petty has been in the USAFL for several decades and has consisently kept his Steelers in playoff contention.
