Former Tampa Bay Franchise sets up shop in Charlotte

Off-Season 2088 (Charlotte) - The newly named Carolina Panthers began workouts in their brand new Bank of America Stadium today as the former Tampa Bay franchise completed their relocation to Charlotte, NC.

Players and coaches alike marveled at their new facilities and hoped the new digs would help the in their quest for Lorne Sundby Cup glory.

Fans are coming throughout the Carolinas to watch their new team as the region is intent on warming up to this young team built by their GM, 'Trader' Lee Remley.

'We are happy how everyone on the Carolinas are embracing us,' Remley said. 'It's a lot nicer to be welcomed like this instead of having your town fight you on everything you're trying to do for your franchise.'

On the field, the Panthers bring back a team virtually unchanged from last season. Center Kenton Price finally decided it was time to give his poor aching knees a rest and retired, but everyone else has returned.

'For the first time in quite a while, we don't look to make many changes,' the GM reputed for making trades said, to most fans surprise. 'We have a good squad here.'

Meanwhile in Tampa, angry fans burned both 'Traitor Lee', as they call the GM, and governor George X.Y.Z. Bush in effigy side by side, a few seconds at least until the city's automatic fire suppression system took care of the fire.

'We blame 'em both for losing our team,' long time Bucs fan Rydell 'Bubba' Carpenter said. 'This woulda never happened when Fred was here,' he suggested, referring to the beloved former Bucs GM.
