Panthers Hope to be King of Jungle

Will Panthers Take Next Step in 2090?

Off-Season 2090 (Charlotte) - The Carolina Panthers go into their 2090 training camp with a bit more optimism this time around. The Panthers started out the 2089 season 4-1, then went to 7-5 before dropping their last two games. This was not the first season this franchise started well then folded at the end.

'We need more consistency,' GM 'Trader' Lee Remley commented when asked about his team's season. 'We're in a tough division so that's hard to maintain, especially for the young team we've been the last few years.'

Now a lot of those young Panthers are veterans, led by Remley's first draft pick, franchise LB Brent Altenhoff. Despite losing fine players such as HB George Balzer and LB Richard Solt in free agency last year, other players stepped up and the Panthers actually were better.

This offseason, a few more of those picks Remley made are free agents, and the team lost big center Peter Maddox to retirement, but many feel the young depth Remley has been trying to build on the offensive line can hold off any negativity from that loss.

QB Frank Moore hopes the Panthers can have one more good year before he hangs it up, as many speculate he will after this season.

'You can see that we're just this close,' Moore said, holding his fingers millimeters apart. 'I hope we can all put it together this season for our great fans.'
