Bears Meeting With Redskins AGM

Zabroski reported to be considering Chicago GM job

Playoffs 2098 (Washington DC) - The Chicago Bears are reportedly wasting no time in searching for a new General Manager. The Bears ownership are meeting today with the Washington Redskins AGM, John Zabroski, after receiving permission from GM Bill Barnwell.

The Redskins have not enjoyed much success recently. They been struggling at the bottom of the league the last four seasons (1-13 '98, 2-12 '97, 4-10 '96, 3-11 '95). But that did not keep the Bears from looking at Zabroski. Barnwell has nothing but the 'highest praise' for Zabroski's work ethic ... and that has caught the attention of the Chicago Bears front office.

The Bears said goodbye to their highly-successful GM Brad Houska last season after he retired due to 'family reasons'. Houska won 5 Sundby Cups during his tenure with the Bears franchise.

Word out of Chicago is that the Bears will be holding a press conference on Wednesday night to announce the hiring of a new General Manager.
