Ridgle Cut to Make Cap Room
By "Lance Dawson"

Off-Season 2105 (Kansas City, MO) - Chief's GM Harrison continued his campaign to improve the defense. However, at this point, it almost seems now like it was at the expense of the offense. Three offensive lineman get traded for practically nothing and Ridgle gets handed his walking papers without the team even seeing if they could trade him. Now, they will get nothing for him.

'It was very hard to let Curtis go,' said Harrison. 'He's done everything we asked of him. Unfortunately, I didn't look at our cap hard enough and see where I was going to have to move Curtis. By the time I realized it, the trade deadline had passed.'

Harrison continued, 'I believe Monico will be able to step up and handle the ball carrying duties. I know we are well under the cap at this point, but we also are in the middle of some franchise contract negotiations and that would have put us over. I spoke with Curtis before he left. Certainly, he was not happy. He sees what we have going on here and would have liked to have had his shot at a title. The hard thing about professional football is that sometimes it stops being about football and is all about the business end of it. I wish him well.'

A lot of moves this offseason, not characteristic of GM Harrison. There will be a lot of pressure for the team to perform well or there will be a lot of questions regarding the moves. Still, as a Chiefs' fan, you can't help but be excited about the addition of Orazio and Figaro. The forever vanilla defense just got some swagger injection. A Chiefs' fan, or not, you know you want to see what happens ..........
