Alden Signs Longterm Deal

The Chiefs are Slowly Rebuilding
By "Priest Holmes III"

Pre-Season 2079 (Kansas City, MO) - The Chiefs announced their decision to offer OL Ed Alden a franchise contract, which he signed right away. 'Ed will be a major player in our organization for years to come,' Chiefs' GM Harrison said. 'He was a first round pick in 2074, drafted #2 overall by Minnesota. And I have to say, that was one of the best trades I have ever made. We traded the Vikings three first round draft picks in 2074, for Ed and the only other player currently on our team with a franchise contract, DL Brad Gilbert.'

Ed will earn the standard 12 million a season for a 5th year franchise contract. Being the great grandson of a former Chiefs' star player, I am excited about the progress the Chiefs are making. Signing Ed was a big step in establishing the offensive line. It's been a while since the Chiefs have had two young quality franchise players. I am really looking forward to the upcoming season
