Moxley Calling it Quits

Iconic Defensive Back Retires
By "Dorian Greene"

Off-Season 2122 (Baltimore, MD) - Following the playoffs, Mark Moxley, the standout defensive back for the Baltimore Ravens, will hang up his cleats after a storied 13 year career in the league.

'I don't want to linger in the league, holding onto the game as it passes me by,' said a forthright Moxley. 'I'm proud of this team's accomplishments, and confident that the rest of the secondary is more than capable without me.'

The 2110 Rookie of the Year was an instant starter and never once a below average player in the league. His regular career statistics end with 1,028 tackles, 24 interceptions, 10 sacks, and 4 touchdowns. His tackles and interceptions rank approximately in the top 20 all time.

'When I took over the team, I immediately identified Moxley as the franchise player to lead this franchise,' stated owner/GM Mark Thul. 'He hasn't disappointed in any way, and I'm pleased to announce that Mox will be coming back next season as our secondary coach.'

With Moxley as the cornerstone of the franchise, the Baltimore Ravens ascended to win eight of the last ten AFC East titles and three Sundby Cups. He is a sure fire, first-ballot Hall of Famer.
