Bain sets league record

Chicago QB is new yardage king!

Playoffs 2122 (Chicago, IL) - Putting an amazing string of offensive performances together this season, Chicago QB Eric Bain finished off the season by setting the league record for total yards passing. Although the Bears were dissapointed by their 7-7 season after coming within one win of the Sundby Cup, they were quite proud of their record setting signal caller.

'Our record doesn't show it, but the division got very tough this year. Despite the increased competition, Eric set the league's record in passing and almost equalled that feat in touchdown passes as well. I know SWA voters tend to look at winning records as much as stats, but if this isn't an MVP season, I don't know what is. We are going to address that defense in the offseason and see if we can't put it together for something worthy of our superstar.'

Bain offered only the following comment with his typical confident (some would say cocky) smile:

'Mike Strong Who?'

Only time will tell if the Midway Monsters can put together a defense like they had last year to give Bain another shot at a championship. Maybe the switch to the 3-4 is what did it, or maybe chemistry suffered after a few additions and subtractions. Whatever the case, it will be interesting to see how Bears management deals with such a superb offensive season and such a dismal defensive one.
