"A lot of guys are too comfortable around here"

Panthers looking to shake things up

Off-Season 2133 (Charlotte) - Carolina Panthers GM 'Trader' Lee Remley was brutally honest as his weekly press conference when asked about his team's 5-9 finish after three consecutive playoff appearances.

'Apparently, there's a lot of guys that are too comfortable around here,' he told the shocked throng of media assembled for his weekly address. 'It wasn't like when we did make the playoffs those last three years, we went past the first round. Then you have this year, where we started out 1-4 and gave up. We had started out that way before and still made the playoffs. So this year they just gave up. That's not the type of team I want...or our fans deserve.'

Remley was even more blunt when he was asked to name names.

'The guys with experience on our team are supposed to be the leaders,' he replied. 'You notice I said 'supposed' to be because they haven't shown it lately.'

Remley left no doubt that he intends to remake the roster this offseason.

'There's a draft coming up,' Remley said. 'We'll talk about anyone on our roster. Trust me, there will be some moves made. This ineptitude for a veteran team can't continue.'

So the Carolina Panthers may look quite different next season. One thing is certain, the GM isn't giving up like he claims his players have.
