Ravens to Select Defensive End First Overall

Off-Season 2134 (Baltimore, MD) - The upside of having the first pick? You can begin negotiations before the draft!

The Baltimore Ravens today announced finalized contract negotiations that make defensive lineman Glenn Flynn the first overall selection in the 2134 draft.

'Well, we felt Flynn was the outright class of this draft,' beamed a satisfied Mark Thul, owner and GM of the Ravens. 'He's worth every penny of the deal we gave him. Getting it done early is a bonus. I've got plans in Utah next week!'

Flynn proudly wore his new jersey, sporting the number 92. 'It's exciting to become a Raven. They have a proud history of top defensive linemen. I hope to keep that going.'

The Ravens are counting on Flynn to develop quickly, as their current crew is primed to compete for the next few years. They've been in the past two cups, winning one. Flynn is expected to contribute soon.

'It's a bit of pressure,' stated Flynn, 'but I'm up for it. I think there should be expectations for the top overall draft selection. I intend to live up to them.'

Only time will tell, but for now, Ravens fans have a lot to be excited about.
