Young Ravens to Take Flight

Youth Movement Under Way
By "Baxter Boxworth"

Pre-Season 2141 (Baltimore, MD) - The Baltimore Ravens, in rebuilding mode for the second consecutive season, is going to rely on an injection of youth. Both the starting halfback and wide receiver will be rookies.

'Well, it'll be a learning experience for us,' explained Ravens GM Mark Thul. 'Our team really isn't expected to contend this season, so we're going to use this time to evaluate some talent and strategies...but we're far from just rolling over.'

Indeed, the Ravens went out in the off-season and signed veteran LB Doug Goforth to a $87.5 million contract, so it's clear they're expecting big things sooner rather than later.

'I can see where this team is headed,' confirmed Goforth. 'They've always been a tough team, and I'm excited to be part of their current ascension. We will be back on top soon!'

The Ravens are hoping that their young squad will prove him right!
