Giants to undergo a thorough rebuilding process, both on and off the field
By "Mike Michaels"

Off-Season 2156 (Albany, NY) - Just when it looks like the Giants were on their death bed as a franchise in the USAFL, a former GM has stepped in to rescue the Giants.

Former Giants GM Joe Malloy has once again taken on the GM duties of the New York football Giants, a team that, despite recent success, is going through a period of irrelevancy.

The Giants were dead last in attendance and merchandise sales in the last 15 years, and it wasn't even close. With the recent successes of other New York franchises like the Yankees, the Mets, the Islanders, and the Knicks, the Giants have not even been an afterthought in most fans heads.

Since most people don't care about the franchise at this point in time, the new/old GM has decided that this is a perfect time to rebuild.

'The Giants brand needs a complete rebuild, not just the product on the field.' Malloy said after he was re-introduced as the Giants GM. 'We're not popular, we average 5,000 fans on good days. Nobody will notice if we just blow the whole thing up and start the whole thing over.'

Malloy has sent out feelers to the rest of the league, telling the league that everyone is available. Malloy has received some offers and is currently looking them over.

'I know how hard it is to rebuild, especially when a team is relevant.' Malloy said, 'Since rebuilding in this league is an extremely difficult task that requires a massive undertaking, nobody will really notice us losing games 55-0. Heck, who knows, maybe we'll see some people have a morbid curiousty to see how things turn out. That's when we'll hook them and get them to come back to our games.'
