Panthers GM holds press conference for first time in several seasons

Off-Season 2156 (Charlotte) - 'I'm back.'

Echoing the words of a long ago basketball legend, Carolina Panthers GM 'Trader' Lee Remley appeared himself at the team's press conference this week, to the surprise of the entire press corps.

'No more spokespeople, no more folks looking over my shoulder,' Remley went on. 'I'm running things my way, as I have for many years. As it should be.'

What about ownership?

'I told them either they let me run things my way or there were several teams in the league who would hire me to work for them,' Remley replied.

What about the team's spokesperson?

'Best assistant I ever had!' the GM replied, to sounds of laughter.

Rumors that the Panthers GMs rise back to power and his reappearance in public was tied to incriminating photos of ownership that came into his possession were unconfirmed.

So what is going to happen now?

'What's my name?' Remley replied with an enigmatic smile, then left the podium.
