(San Diego) - The Chargers have designated DL James Mayes, selected by Tampa Bay in the 1st round of the 2174 College Draft and acquired in the 2176 off-season by the Chargers, guaranteeing him 8.000 annually.
“Like all of our franchise players before him, James has done everything we have asked of him since joining the Chargers last offseason from Tampa Bay. We're excited about his future and his anchoring our defense for years to come,” commented Chargers' GM Todd Ricotta in a statement issued this evening from team headquarters.
