Under the new contract, Tommie will earn $8 million per year, which is only $4 million more than the rookie contract he signed three years ago. 'In our efforts to build toward the future, we are excited to lock down a cornerstone of our defense for many years to come' said GM Mike Piper. 'Tommie has shown great improvement every year, and we expect that trend to continue as we surround him with more young talent.'
