Giants Franchise LB Noah Miller

Team not willing to risk losing linebacker in upcoming free agency
By "Stan Smith"

Pre-Season 2082 (Albany, NY) - After seeing how much two Washington linebackers went for in free agency this past offseason, the Giants wasted no time in franchising linebacker Noah Miller. Miller will receive an FP5 contract, meaning he will make $12 million per season for the rest of his career.

'We're not willing to take the risk of losing Miller in free agency.' GM Joe Malloy said. 'After seeing the market for linebackers in free agency go through the roof the last five or six seasons, we probably think Miller might get some huge offers elsewhere. I think $12 mil a season, though, is the proper cost for a linebacker of his caliber. I don't really hand out FP5 contracts, but linebackers are at a premium around here lately.'
