Expect Big Changes In The Big Apple

Off-Season 2200 (New York City) - Just minutes after the completion of the 2200 USAFL College Draft, newly hired Giants GM Andrew Lewis pulled his first trade ... sending a 2201 4th round selection to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for seasoned veteran OL Toby Smith.

'We realize that even though he's been in the league 11 seasons now, he's only been a starter in three of those seasons,' commented Giants spokesperson Roddy Chichester.

'And he's coming off two seasons at the bottom of the pile - the Buccaneers were dead last in rushing last season, dead last in sacks allowed, and dead last in first downs. Yea, I think Mr. Smith was eager for a new situation.'

When asked if Smith could really provide help with a team so desperately needing an overhaul, Chichester commented that Smith was simply brought in to provide some sort of stability with the team's offensive line.

Toby Smith was a 3rd round selection of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2190 USAFL College Draft. He's been on their active roster every season except 2191.
