Off-Season 2216 (Cincinnati) - The Cincinnati Bengals have announced that they have franchised defensive tackle Pete 'Cherry' Garcia, giving him an eight million dollar per year lifetime contract with the club.

Selected third overall in the 2213 draft, Garcia has not failed to disappoint and has been part of a strong defensive line in Cincinnati.

Defensive coordinatior Pike Kimmer speaks highly of his star pupil.

'Pete has learned quickly and is now a mainstay on our defense,' Kimmer said. 'I'm glad we are making sure he is here from here on out.'

Popular with the ladies, Garcia is humbled by all his praise and the doubling of his salary.

'I'm glad that coach and the GM have that kind of confidence in me,' Garcia said. 'I hope the fans will be happy with my play this season and beyond.'
