Off-Season 2083 (New York) - While the media was in a feeding frenzy over the large checks Albert Hall will be cashing thanks to the Washington Redskins, the New York Giants made a key signing of their own, but to little fanfare.

In fact, there wasn't even a press conference to announce the hiring of Ryan Howard as Assistant General Manager beneath Joe Malloy. In all likelihood, he asked for the change to be made quietly.

Howard, who received both his undergraduate and graduate business degrees from The University of Toledo in Ohio, has a certain notoriety among various circles for being a guru of sorts when it comes to managing the finances and resources of an organization.

Tt has yet to be determined whether or not the hiring of Howard will become an instance of Malloy 'dropping the hammer.' Still, the fact that the General Manager of the Giants now has an old acquaintance to help shoulder the numerous burdens of managing a football organization could lead to less stress and a renewed focus on bringing the championship back to The Big Apple.
