Buffalo Believes in Youth Movement

Younger players have taken starting spots from crotchety old men

Pre-Season 2270 (Orchard Park, NY) - The Buffalo Bills are getting younger. Well, their GM is seemingly as old as the hills, but taking a look at their roster, you can sense a changing of the guard.

'We think we really hit it big with our 1st selection in this years' draft - QB Mike Langford' said GM Mark Ricotta. After failed attempts to trade up to the #1 and #2 slots, the Bills got extremely lucky that Langford fell to them at #10. 'He was #1 on our draft board. We tried moving up to make sure we got him but things worked out anyway. A true stroke of luck.'

Langford will be under center as a rookie, which doesn't happen very often with this franchise. Poor Christian Berkley never had a chance. 'I've been on this roster for 8 years. Not sure what it is they can't see in me' said Berkley as he walked off the field extremely slowly, but not before stopping 17 times to catch his breath. (Look at his numbers)

The O Line is getting younger, too. But that poor LB corps is in serious trouble. Said Ricotta, 'For whatever reason, we can't seem to hire scouts who can identify top talent at Linebacker. We actually suck at drafting LB.'

The Bills are looking to return to winning ways and word out of Buffalo is they may be setting themselves up for a transition to a Heavy scheme next season. 'We'll see' said Ricotta. 'I may mix it up a little bit. I've dabbled before, but never committed to any scheme other than the West Coast. It may be fun.' That may be true for the GM, bt will it be fun for the fans? Only time will tell.
