Carolina wins it all third year into their new era

Off-Season 2275 (Charlotte) - The Carolina Panthers delivered rather quickly.

GM 'Trader' Lee Remley promised his new city a Sundby Cup when his team relocated to Charlotte. In their third year back, they delivered with a 9-3 win over the vaunted Baltimore Ravens.

'It was a defensive struggle, an ugly game for some people, but very satisfying for us,' Remley said after the game. 'We are glad to finally come out on top again.'

The franchise came into the title game 8 of 19 in Sundby Cups which had Remley commenting several times they were snakebit. But this Panthers team would not be denied.

After the team missed a PAT after their lone touchdown, many Panthers fans did the facepalm and said 'here we go again.' But it turned out not to matter as the defense held the Ravens to a field goal.

'Our defense has come up big all year long,' QB Pat McCullough said. 'No more so in this game.'

HB James White did his level best against a tough Ravens defense, gaining 80 yards and a workmanlike 4.0 yards per carry. But he downplayed his importance.

'I owe it all to those big hog mollies in front of me,' White said after being named the game's MVP by his teammates. 'They have opened up the holes all year long and I just run through 'em.'

White's modesty aside, this team has been special all year long all the way around. Fans are especially looking forward to more years of excellence as many of the stars are on the young side still.

'We expect to win every season,' Remley said when asked about his team's future. 'So we're not done yet by any means.'
