Carolina locks up young star QB to lifetime deal
By "Jordan Rulz"

Off-Season 2286 (Charlotte) - He is not a Klingon, but he has proved to be a great warrior in a short time.

The Carolina Panthers today named young superstar QB Scott Dorn their franchise player, guaranteeing him $8 million per year the rest of his career.

'Scott is one of the young superstars of this league,' Carolina Panthers GM 'Trader' Lee Remley said in a statement. 'There is no way on green earth that we are letting him get away from us. We look forward to him being one of the greats in our franchise history.'

Dorn has been a sensation since he came into the league, winning rookie of the year his first year and in the MVP conversation every other year. He has either led or been close to the lead in passing every year he has played so far.

As for Dorn, he came into the league with a chip on his shoulder and has used that as motivation since.

'14 teams passed on me,' Dorn said to the media after he was drafted. 'I am glad Carolina had the wisdom to draft me. I will make the other teams in this league wish they had me on their team.'

Now Dorn is thankful for his situation.

'I am so glad to be a Panther for life,' he said. 'We have been in the Sundby Cup my first couple of years and had a great team this season, so I expect us to have success at this point. I can't wait to see where we go from here.'

Other teams in the league are probably now crying in their beer that they have no shot at Dorn in free agency.
