Who are these guys?

Panthers fans lament many trades, many rookies

Off-Season 2313 (Charlotte) - The Carolina Panthers look slightly different this offseason.

In a flurry of moves this offseason, gone are 14 veterans that kept this team competitive in recent seasons, even though they ultimately could not get past the first round of the playoffs. In their place are 14 rookies and a lot of future draft picks.

As many Panthers fans are saying, 'Who are these guys?'

We have seen this before from their veteran general manager when his team needed retooling, and he says he always hears the same response.

'We live in a society with instant gratification, so there isn't a lot of patience,' Panthers general manger 'Trader' Lee Remley said in his start of training camp press conference, who obviously earned his nickname back this offseason. 'They get information downloaded straight to their brain now, for sake.'

Meanwhile, Panthers fans are looking forward to the future of some of these guys, as many were rated well before the draft by draft guru Mel Kiper XVI in a very deep draft.

First round, sixth overall pick DT Mark May may start right off the bat, as will fellow first round offensive linemen Anthony Cummings and Doug Pittman. Second round pick Brad Alexander may even be getting a shot at linebacker.

Team leader and franchise player HB Jay White says that no matter what happens, he's a Panther for life.

'This is all part of the process,' White told the media when asked whether he wants out. 'The man upstairs says I ain't goin' nowhere, so I'm glad about that. I want to see where this is all going cause these are a great group of guys the man brought in.'

Let's hope he is right for the sake of fans in Carolina, who haven't sniffed a Sundby for quite some time.
