Free Agency Market - Day One

Every off-season, players entering their 6th or 11th year are eligible for Free Agency. This is something every player is really playing for. Players know that the championship trophy is impressive, but will it buy a nice house and take care of your family as you grow old?

Super Star players land Franchise Player contracts when they are still developing. All the rest of the players in the league have to hope they get some attention in Free Agency if they want to land that fat no-cut contract.

The Market takes place over two days, with day one reserved for GMs placing Offer Sheets. GMs that participated in the previous Super Bowl can only use two Offer Sheets during the off-season. All other teams are allowed to use up to three Offer Sheets.

Super Bowl teams can lose up to three players to Free Agency. All other teams can only lose up to two players. GMs are not allowed to place on Offer Sheet on their own player.

UPDATED 2048: Players eligible for Free Agency will demand OFFER SHEETS have a minimum offer based on their current salary status.

example: DL Joe Doe 4.000 (former first round selection)
DL Doe will have a 4.000 OFFER SHEET minimum during FA

example: QB Billy Joe Doe 0.500 (former rookie waivers selection)
DL Doe will have a 0.500 OFFER SHEET minimum during FA

All players signed during the Market receive no-cut contracts. There is no limit to how many Free Agents can be on one roster. GMs can trade players they have signed in past Free Agency Markets.
