Off-Season
Trading
While
the champions are dancing on the field celebrating
their win, don't get too caught up in the party.
Because when the gun goes off to end the Super Bowl,
the off-season officially begins. GMs can begin
submitting their trades via the online
TeamManagement interface.
All
around the league, GMs are hunkered down in their
offices manning the phones. The first couple of days
of the off-season might not see any trades, but
don't let that quietness fool you. Behind the scenes
every GM is involved in negotiations that could
bring his team a chance to replenish his team with
fresh talent.
Almost
every season you will see nearly %75 of the trades
being pulled within the final 24 hours of the
trading period. Its all about timing. Pull a trade
too early or too late, and you might not get enough
value in return. Its all about timing.
All
trades should be submitted through the online
TeamManagement interface. Trades can include any
players* currently on your roster and any draft pick
within a four year period (upcoming draft and three
future draft). Trades are approved once the second
GM confirms the trade.
On
the night of the College Draft, trading is suspended
from 6pm to 10pm et. GMs can still negotiate behind
the scenes, but they will not be able to access the
Trade Submission interface within the TeamManagement
area until the draft is over.
The
trade period ends at midnight on Thursday of week
three. Once the clock strikes midnight, trading is
over. So 11:59:59pm is the final allowable timestamp
for a trade.

Except players that you've just signed in the Free
Agency Market. They must play at least one season on
your roster before you can trade them.
