Veteran QB finally gets his chance and makes the most of it

Playoffs 2330 (Charlotte) - David Whitefield made the most of his opportunity.

After taking such a big step forward in training camp, Whitefield won the starting QB job. Once the season started, he was brilliant, leading the league in passing and he may possibly win MVP.

Can he finally lead the Panthers to that elusive Sundby win?

'We have great confidence in David,' Panthers GM 'Trader' Lee Remley commented.

So where does that leave Steve Walker? Many speculate he will have a new address soon.

'I support my teammate,' Walker said simply. 'I was outplayed, it's just as simple as that. The rest is outside my control.'

We will see where the playoffs take Carolina, and the off-season takes Walker.
