Carolina don't think they were all wet drafting him first overall

Off-Season 2339 (Charlotte) - The Carolina Panthers named G Phillip Waters as their latest franchise player before the 2339 season was underway guaranteeing him $6 million per year for the rest of his career.

Taken first overall in the 2336 draft, Waters has lived up to all his advance billing and then some. So it was easy for the Panthers brass to name him one of the cornerstones of the franchise going forward.

When asked for his reaction, Waters was ecstatic.

'I don't have to worry about the free agency thing in a few years now and just settle in here,' Waters said. 'I think I'm gonna buy me a boat!'
