Trade away several draft picks

Off-Season 2088 (Cincinnati, OH) - Word out of Bengals camp is that they are 'going for it this year'. In the past few days the Bengals have been shopping draft picks all over the USAFL. They have traded away the following picks in the last week alone;

2090 CIN Round 3
2089 CIN Round 3
2090 CIN Round 4
2091 CIN Round 2
2092 CIN Round 3

It seems like they are sacrificing their future for the present, but GM James Barr assures everyone that is not the case.

'We went 7-7 last year and if anyone noticed, we swept the Bills. Sure they weren't the same Bills that they had been in the past, but that is a big step forward for this franchise. We think we have a legitimate chance to make the playoffs and even make it to the cup possibly. We have brought in some veterans to help us make that leap. Some of them are older, but these are players that we are going to keep around for a few years. We have made the move to pick up the DB's that we have needed so badly for the last few years. With Thomas, Sadowski, and Ellington now added to the defense with LB's like Ball and Ridgle we feel like we finally have a defense that can not only sack the quaterback, but can actually defend against the pass as well.'

The Benglas are really looking forward to a good year, and to Mr. Barr, anything less than a playoff appearance will be a disappointment.
