(Cincinnati) - The Cincinnati Bengals, shortly after acquiring LB Richard Reese from the Minnesota Vikings, slapped the franchise tag on the five year man, guaranteeing him 10 million a year for the rest of his career.
Undrafted by the Vikings, the young LB had shown star power, which was recognized by his new team.
'Wow, a lot has changed so quickly,' the soft spoken young man told the media. 'New team and now, nice new contract. I'm happy to be here!'
Bengals head honcho 'Trader' Lee Remley started living up to his nickname once again.
'We are building something here,' Remley said. 'We just need to fill in a few more pieces and have some patience with some youngsters.'
Hopefully things will get going in the upcoming season.
