Young player suddenly promoted from backup FB to starting HB

Off-Season 2388 (Cincinnati) - After the trade of mainstay Vernon Hilliard, one of the Bengals backups finally finds himself in the spotlight.

Chris P. Bacon, a backup FB, finally finds himself toting the rock with the first team.

'I didn't even think boss man knew who I was,' Bacon said. 'Though people told me later he said he liked Chris P. Bacon.'

Bengals GM 'Trader' Lee Remley, who has been living up to his name lately, laughed. 'I think he overheard my breakfast order.' He smiled. 'But Bacon is definitely in our plans.'

Meanwhile, Remley sits on his orange and black striped throne and makes trades late at night.

'We couldn't maintain this incredible squad under the cap and our results were not good last season,' Remley said. 'So it was time to rebuild.'

Bengals fans are sad seeing their favorite players depart for venues like Vegas and Buffalo but have seen this before and know that a new team is being built for future Sundby runs.
