Red Light.. Green Light!

Giants rookie impressive in limited role

Regular Season 2088 (Ney York) - We're five weeks deep into the 2088 regular season and thousands of Giants fans, local and abroad, are still waiting to recieve their Evan Green jersey in the mail. The jerseys have been the hottest selling commodity from league stores this year, with a two-to-three month waiting period following the sale.

Still, amidst the limelight and excitement some fans feel somewhat underwhelmed by what they've seen.

'The kid's got titanium hips, it's unbelievable,' says Ronnie Baumner, 35, from Albany. A lifelong Giants fan, Ronnie has been impressed with everything he's seen from the young running back thus far this season. But, he says, they could give him the ball a little more. 'All the speed and vision in the world, and some games he's barely breaking 15 carries? Come on, they need to realize the kid is money and give him his 25.'

Green has found a certain degree of success this season. In the season opener against an incredibly weak Baltimore defense, he scored the line for 121 yards on 16 carries with two touchdown runs. He also found success against Detroit in week 4 when he rushed 15 times for 72 yards -- a 4.8 yard per carry average.

The Giants' coaching staff was unavailable for comment, but one has to wonder, when are they going to let loose and yell 'Green light.. GO!'
