Dixon hopes Dallas Takes a Chance on him

Dixon expects to make an impact right away in the USAFL

Off-Season 2093 (Philadelphia, PA) - Penn State halfback Chance Dixon has known success wherever he's been.

'I've had three time high school state champion down in Abeline, Texas. I've had three straight years as a starter at Penn State, including a national title in 2092. It's time I take my game to the next level.' Dixon said hours before the 2093 USAFL Rookie draft kicks off in Philadelphia.

Dixon is considered one of the best running back talents to ever come out of the college ranks. He barely missed rushing for 2,000 yards his senior year, but did find the end zone 20 times as Penn State easily cruised to a national championship. Now he's hoping the team he's followed his entire life, the Dallas Cowboys, take him number one.

'Hey, I'm ready to make an impact in this league for any team, but this is a lifelong dream for me to suit up for the Cowboys. I know they have several great halfbacks already in Dallas, but I'm willing to work for a starting role right away.'

Dixon realizes that life as a young halfback in the USAFL is never easy. In fact, he's hoping he doesn't become the disappointment former #1 draft pick Evan Green turned out to be.

'The guy just took the number one draft pick money and ran. His heart wasn't in the game like mine is. Football is a 24/7 fight for survival, I realized that the first time I ever put on those pads. No matter what my new team asks me to dom, I'm gonna go ahead and do it. You can't make a mockery of your dreams.'
