Panthers fans on the prowl

GM Remley under fire after 2-3 start
By "Bucky Katz"

Regular Season 2100 (Charlotte) - The local media and Panthers fans are loudly expressing their disappointment after the team's 2-3 start in the 2100 season. After a run at the playoffs last season, the Panthers were the trendy pick to go places this season, especially after so little changes were made in the offseason.

The situation was inflames further when a release from the league office stated that the Carolina Panthers franchise in all their incarnation have the next longest Conference Championship drought. The Panthers franchise won the NFC title last in 2033 as the Arizona Cardinals, 67 seasons ago.

A result of all this is a call for the head of the Panthers GM, whether by firing or resignation.

'We understand people's frustration and share it,' Panthers GM 'Trader' Lee Remley said in a statement. 'We are committed to making this a winning franchise and work tirelessly to that end.'

Many fans say Remley no longer lives up to his nickname. But the team is committed to keeping their future picks and have avoided trading the future the past few seasons, a departure from the 'win now' mentality in the early years here in Charlotte.

Time will tell whether the new strategy works. But people are getting impatient for a winner in Carolina.
