(Training Camp) - After a very good mini-camp and pre-season, QB Greg Toliver signed a 5th year franchise contract with the Chiefs worth 12 million a season. 'The amazing thing about Greg is he can still get better,' GM Harrison was quoted as saying. 'Sure as heck-fire we would have been paying more next season if he tested the free agent market.'
The Chiefs hired Warren Moon as an offensive consultant in the off season to help with the new K-Gun offense. By bringing in Sam Teising and signing rookie Thurston Rann, there is no doubt they are committed to the passing game this season. Toliver will still have to prove he is capable of handling the new offense.
