Ricotta awarded his second Spirit Award By "Paul Lydell"

(Fiji Islands) - Before stepping on board a seaplane bound for Matangi Private Island Resort in the Fiji Islands in the South Pacific, USAFL Commissioner/Founder Andrew Lewis informed the assembled press that he had just authorized league officials to name Buffalo Bills General Manager Mark Ricotta as the latest recipient of the Garritt Grandberg USA Sports Award.
Lewis noted Ricotta's work with the USAFL SportsWriter's Association and his continued work in mentoring the next generation of GMs.
This 2103 Spirit Award marks the second time Ricotta has won the prestigious Grandberg trophy. Ricotta previously won in 2072, along with Lou Lombardo, for their work with the '10yr Draft Review' PageOne series. The series was discontinued later that year.
