Pre-Season 2079 (Houston, TX) - The Houston Texans embark on the 2079 season with one hope, start better than next year. 'We got off to an 0-5 start which basically buried us. We came back with a 7-2 record but we missed the playoffs,' said head coach Jon Hickman, entering his 2nd season as head coach of the team.

'Optimism is high as it is with every team at this point in the season. Even Joe Malloy is optimistic, which doesnt happen very often. We know our team may struggle at times, but we have complete faith that we can win this division.' Hickman said, 'We recently won 3 division titles and hosted the NFC title game twice, and after coach Krom retired after the 5-9 season, I vowed that we would get this team back to the promised land. It has been a long time since Houston saw a championship, and we are going to bring one to this city.'

Texans Side Notes: QB Omar Singleton need 3037 yards to become the 4th Texans quarterback to reach 25,000 yards. He also needs 12 TDs to reach 150, where he would become the 3rd Texan to achieve this feat .... He also ranks as one of the most accurate passers in league history, completing over 60 percent of his passes entering this season.
