Chiefs' Rookie Signal Caller Making "Strong" Bid for R.O.Y.

QB Mike Strong Looks Impressive
By "Ken Dawson"

Regular Season 2116 (Kansas City, MO) - Even though the Chiefs are only 4-6 thru 10 games this season, rookie QB Mike Strong is giving the faithful fans something to cheer about.

He currently has a QB rating of 86.0 and that is good enough for third best ever for a rookie. His 61.4 completion percentage is only .35 short of setting a new high. If he finishes out on his current pace, he will finish 7th best in rookie yards passing. his 6.8 yards per attempt is only .24 shy of Kevin Jones 7.03 record in 2095.

It's been almost 10 seasons since we have seen a rookie QB with his potential. There has even been some whispering that Mike could be as good as Chiefs future HOF'er Greg Toliver whose name is plastered all over the passing record books, but Mike has alot to prove to be mentioned in the same sentence with Greg.

It was heard that GM Harrison has already started planning a new offense next season based around Mike's talents. With the Chiefs' team salary sitting at 116 mil, the lowest in the USAFL, Harrision is poised to make a strong free agent bid next offseason to make sure Strong's next season is even more spectacular than this one.

The Chiefs' fans are packing the stadium to watch their rising star, win or lose this season, it doesn't matter. They see Sundy Cups in the near future with Strong at the helm.
