Off-Season 2120 (Albany. NY) - The New York Giants announced today that linebacker Gary Sams was awarded a Franchise Player tag.

Sams, the 4th overall pick in 2117, has been considered one of the best performers in training camps in recent memory for the Giants.

'A guy like Sams who aces his training camps year in and year out is the kind of player we need long term.' an unnamed Giants source said. 'We need someone like him to get the fans interested in football again. With all our struggles lately, Sams is a breath of fresh air.'
