The Marshall is Staying

Defensive Lineman Signs Lucrative Contract
By "Noah Bayer"

Pre-Season 2123 (Baltimore, MD) - Today, the Baltimore Ravens franchised defensive lineman Darby Marshall, assuring the fifth year player $12 million each season.

'I'm honored this franchise thinks that much of me,' stated an overjoyed Marshall. 'I never saw this coming.'

He wasn't the only one. Marshall went undrafted in the 2118 rookie draft. In fact, he was merely the 24th waiver selection.

When asked if the draft snub motivated him in any way, Marshall responded, 'It made me realize I had a lot to prove, but mostly to myself rather than to any of the other teams.'

While Marshall has posted a modest 19 sacks in his career, he is primed to explode on the league, now playing the interior alongside future Hall of Fame standout Mike Nunn.

Marshall assumes the franchise tag vacated with the retirement of new secondary coach Mark Moxley.
