Off-Season 2134 (Charlotte) - The Carolina Panthers annpounced today that they have franchised DT Darryll Givens, locking in a salary of $12 million per year for the rest of his career.

'Darryll is the new face of the franchise here in Carolina,' Panthers GM 'Trader' Lee Remley said at the press conference announcing the signing. 'This is the type of player we will be building our team around in the future, home grown and productive.'

Since being drafted in the second round of the 2129 draft, Givens has received increased playing time each season and has been productive in the process. Panthers fans can look forward for many more good years to come.
