Off-Season 2136 (Miami, FLA) - In a surprising move, the Miami Dolphins held an impromptu press conference and Mike Morton announced in a hushed tone that he was stepping down as General Manager of his beloved Dolphins.

'I just got off the phone with Commissioner Lewis,' proclaimed Morton, 'and I informed him that I felt Miami needed someone better than me. He pleaded with me to stay and that I was the face of this franchise, but I begged him to let me step aside so that something new could take place here in Miami.'

Morton was reportedly asked by Commissioner Lewis to remain available as a consultant to the league office. The USAFL will be holding their press conference soon, announcing their steps to replacing Morton. Commissioners Lombardo and Harrison are reportedly going to head up the search committee.
