Off-Season 2152 (Philadelphia) - Carolina Panthers 'Trader' Lee Remley was fined 50 bucks by USAFL League Commissioner Andrew Lewis today for what he termed 'conduct unbecoming a league official' on the latest Jim Rome show.

'Although this is an audience participation event, these actions violated the league's Code of Ethics,' Lewis said in a statement, while appearing to be having a hard time keeping a straight face. 'We strive to maintain the highest standards in the conduct of our league officials.'

Remley took the news in stride.

'No big deal,' he said. 'You can't even get a decent cup of Starbucks for 50 bucks these days.'

In related news, reports that the producers of the Jim Rome Show have enlisted the services of the galactic famous law firm of Dewey, Cheatam, and Howe to sue for damages have not been confirmed.
