2152 STRIKE IS OVER!

USAFLPA Agrees To Last Minute Offer From Commissioner Lewis
By "Irv Moniker"

Pre-Season 2152 (Philadelphia) - Just as Commissioner Lewis was about to turn out the lights on the 2152 USA Football League's season and walk out of the conference hall at the Seven Willows complex, USAFLPA Director, Dallas Cowboys DL Barry Albritton, stood up and informed the league officials present that the players association will accept the league's final offer to resolve the strike.

A thunderous round of applause filled the hall after Albritton's remarks followed by a hushed silence as everyone began contacting their associates to get the word out.

'Training camp gates will open up this afternoon,' said Operations-Commissioner Garritt Grandberg, 'we need to get these guys into camp as soon as possible. We've missed far too much time, especially all the rookies.'

'We are eager to put this strike in to the past,' exclaimed Albritton has he was ushered to the waiting vans to take the players association officials to the airport. 'No one wanted to see the 2152 season disappear, let alone the league shutting down. We believe we've reached an equitable agreement that will keep all the parties happy for many years to come. Hopefully the fans won't be too upset for this delay to the regular season. Especially our fans in Dallas. We need to make the post-season - its been far too long since we were in the Sundby Cup final.'

USAFL franchises around the league will open up their training camp facilities to the fans as early as this afternoon. Commissioner Lewis has reportedly instructed the teams to allow the fans to attend this season's camp for free.

'We need to do all we can to win back our fan base,' said one unnamed league official. 'By opening up our camp gates to any and all who want to come and stand on the sidelines to watch their heroes play should go a long way to showing our fans that we care about them.'
