Pre-Season 2081 (Cincinnati) - Earlier this evening, Commissioner Andrew Lewis awarded the Cincinnati Bengals a compensatory 2nd round selection for the 2082 College Draft due to a league error with the Waiver Wire Claims. The league neglected to verify the Bengals access to the WWC once they relocated from Cleveland to Cincinnati.

The compensatory selection will occur at the end of the second round. The USAFL has reserved the right to award compensatory selections in times where the league has erred in detriment to a franchise.

UPDATE 1: The league was able to grant Cincinnati access to the WWC in time for the franchise to submit their claims. But since the fix occurred just an hour prior to the deadline, the compensatory selection will still be awarded if the Bengals did not have enough time to be informed of the fix and make their claims.

UPDATE 2: Cincinnati's GM, James Barr, did not recieve the league's fax in time for his franchise to submit their WWC information. Thus the league will award the team a 2nd round compensatory selection in the 2082 College Draft (to be used at the bottom of the 2nd round).
