Pre-Season 2155 (Buffalo, NY) - The USAFL Sports Writers Association made a rare public announcement last night after their Summer Meetings in Buffalo, NY. As had been widely speculated for a few months now, the SWA announced the appointment of two new voting members.

'I am very pleased to announce that Washington Redskins' GM Jason Hink and Miami Dolphins' GM TC Finney have both accepted invitations to join the SWA effective this 2155 season' announced Director Mark Ricotta. 'In their short tenures in this league, both of these gentlemen have shown the enthusiasm and commitment we desire in voting members of the SWA.'

The new appointments will allow for Commissioner Andrew Lewis to be relieved of his responsibilities as a voting member - which the committee and especially Ricotta have been very appreciative of. 'Andrew has been a huge supporter of the SWA for a long time and his involvement over the decades has been very much appreciated' said Ricotta.

Word out of Buffalo also indicates Ricotta will be removing himself as a voting member, but will continue to oversee the commitee and assume Lewis's original role as a back-up in the case of voter absence.
