Regular Season 2186 (Philadelphia, PA) - What is old is new once again. Following the pop culture trend that is sweeping the nation, the USAFL today announced a new series of retro-style logos for its 18 franchises. Recently, the league commissioned New York artist Wes Kull for the new designs and they were released to the public this evening.

Speaking from the USAFL offices in Philadelphia, new League President Lou Lombardo explained the decision to redesign the logos which had remained virtually unchanged for over 200 years. 'We felt it was time to inject some new life into our franchises. We couldn't ignore the fact that some of the key parts of our marketing plan, such as our PageOne website as well as the team logos needed some freshening up.'

As people have rediscovered the lost culture of the 1950s in the United States there has been a new interest in the music and pop culture of that era. Lombardo summed it up this way, 'We like to think of our league as rich in history. Our game is still the same as it was 200 years ago and so we want to celebrate that history whenever we can. We think the new logos will remind our fans of this history for many years to come.'
