Big changes in Cincinnati

Bengals have had a busy offseason

Off-Season 2196 (Cincinnati) - The Cincinnati Bengals front office has delivered on their promise to make changes this offseason. From nine draft picks, five players traded (at this point), and one free agent brought in, GM 'Trader' Lee Remley has been working the phones this offseason in order to ensure the future of his team.

Gone are guards Leonard Duffy and Ken Hamilton, wide receiver Norman Conlin, and cornerbacks Mike Sawyer and Anthony Woodside.

New to Bengals camp is free agent linebacker Bobby Hill, a surprise signing of a very talented player. Nine rookies were brought in via the draft. Offensive linemen Mike O'Neal and David Jeffrey, defensive linemen Christian Carrier and Mike Key, linebacker Sam Hutchinson, tight end Antonio Rivers, wide receiver Woody Connelley, and defensive backs Dave Smith and Anthony McMillan all hope to contribute to this team's future.

'We accumulated draft picks this season when most gave them up,' Remley had said. 'There were a lot of comparable players rom the late first round on, so we thought it was worth a shot to add some youth to this team.'

After a 4-10 season last season on a veteran club, the Bengals boss had enough of veterans underperforming, and it doesn't appear he is done yet.

'We are still working the phones,' Remley said.

Bengals fans are hoping their fearless leader don't go TOO far in trading players though.

'We still have a lot of good players,' a guy with an orange face and painted on cat's whiskers said during minicamp. 'And that new guy Bobby Hill looks like the king of the hill at linebacker. I like our chances.'

Let's hope that rabid Bengals fan is right.
