USAFL GM Icon Reportedly Making Return - Giants Win Lottery?

Off-Season 2199 (2199) - For years his name was at the top of nearly every GM vacancy wish-list. So many years that the name slipped into lore - a legend that would never pan out .... until now. Or so says our sources from deep within the USAFL League Offices.

'The New York Football Giants have long been desiring a hands-on GM to bring their franchise back to the championship level they so long enjoyed,' says our source. 'And the powers that be had the money to coax Mr. Lewis out of his South Pacific retirement!'

From what we're hearing, the Giants will be making a formal announcement somewhere near the end of the 2199 regular season. Apparently Lewis had made quite a list of demands and the lawyers need months to work out all the details of his return.

'Lewis running things in Giants stadium? My grand-dad is gonna flip over in his grave if that happens,' says Johnny Sadblatter, president of the Philadelphia Eagles fan club. 'Lewis is the lifeblood of our team - to see that name just associated with those idiots in New York makes me wanna puke.'

Still no official word from the Giants, the League Offices, nor Mr. Lewis's public relations department.
