Hurtubise gets the boot

Playoffs 2082 (Tampa Bay) - After 81 seasons at the helm of the Tampa Bay Bucs, Fred Hurtubise has been fired by the owners of the team. Awful results in the past seasons simply got the better of him. Unable to match the early success of the franchise, Hurtubise was living on borrowed time lately. Getting 2 1st overall picks in a row proved to be the final nail in the coffin. 'Look, I think that in the history of the team, we only got 3 1st overall picks, and getting 2 of them in a row is unheard of, and simply, unworthy of the Tampa Bay Bucaneeers' said the team owners. 'It seems as if Hurtubise had lost the ability to run the team. Before, he was pulling all sorts of trades, and always seemed to have a teams with playoffs potential. Lateley, it seemed that playing for .500 proved too difficult. We had no choice, we have to strengthen the franchise with a GM that will spend time managing the team' the owners added.

As to where they might look for such replacement, one of the owners suggested that they might not have to travel very far...
