Cincinnati signs young DL to lifetime $8 million per year deal

Off-Season 2213 (Cincinnati) - The Cincinnati Bengals announced today that they have signed young DL Daniel Washington to a franchise contract worth $8 million per season for the rest of his career.

Since being selected third overall in the 2210 draft, Washington has been seen as a rising talent in the league. Now he is seen as one of the young leaders on the Bengals defense.

'We are glad that Daniel will be a Bengal for life,' Bengals GM 'Trader' Lee Remley said in a statement. 'We knew he was a special player when we drafted him and he has performed beyond our expectations. He is well worth his new salary to us and we look forward to what he can do in the future.'
